Since its beginning in 1985, the Urban Journalism Workshop at San Antonio College has welcomed more than 300 high school students into a two-week journalism boot camp.

Newspapers may change how they do business and the format in which news is carried, but so will radio and television. Since the advent of the Internet, every news organization has had to maintain on online presence.
Each generation arrives with new technology that is integrated into news gathering. The media may change, but our reliance on the information newspaper reporters collect is vital to our roles as civic-minded citizens in a free society.
